About us
This website was created by the MOHAI Youth Advisors (MYA). MYA make the museum more welcoming for their peers by finding fun and creative ways to connect teens with MOHAI, and providing input on the development of museum programming and exhibits. Learn more about MYA and follow us on Instagram @mohaiteens!
This project is an extension of Rainy Day History, an award-winning podcast envisioned, researched, written, and produced by MYA! Each episode of season one highlights one object on display in MOHAI at a time, to explore what stories it has to tell about what it means to be a Seattleite. Season two is all about “growth” – tackling inclusion and exclusion through projects, people, and events that helped expand Seattle and put it on the map. Learn more and listen along.
By collecting and preserving artifacts and stories of the Puget Sound region’s diverse history, the Museum of History & Industry highlights our tradition of innovation and imagination. Through compelling exhibits, scholarship, education, public programs, and community engagement, MOHAI bridges the past, present, and future. Plan your visit to the museum and check out the online collection at mohai.org.
